The list

The Brantford poker list, step by step

A seat in the level two poker room starts with a name on a list. The planner below works out when to leave home and when the 90-minute check-in window closes.

Putting a name down

Putting a name down

In a card room, the list is a queue for a seat in a given game. A name goes down for one particular game, not for the room as a whole. Before you ask: being on the list is not the same as having a seat.

Two ways in are open at Elements Casino Brantford. A player can use the Poker Atlas app or call the poker room at 519-757-3306. The Level Two desk keeps no list and cannot add anyone to one. It is a guide, not the casino, and it takes no bets.

    The window

    The 90-minute clock

Registered players who do not check in within 90 minutes are removed from the list automatically. The drive to the room has to fit inside that window.

The practical order follows from that. Know the length of the drive first, then add the name. A player coming from Hamilton, Paris or Six Nations can time the route before registering, not after.

Late plans have a second limit. The poker room closes at 4 a.m. every night of the week. A name added close to that hour leaves little time at the table. Holiday hours are not published and times can change with demand, so check the casino's page on greatcanadian.com or call 519-752-5004.

    Seated

    Keeping the seat

    • A player who misses two big blinds loses the seat if there is a waiting list for that game.
    • Table changes are made with the full stack. A player who moves takes every chip along.
    • A player who leaves a table may not rejoin that same table within 1 hour with fewer chips than they left with.
    • A meal break, a set pause away from the table, lasts 45 minutes. A player may take at most $25 from the stack for it, and the floor supervisor has the details.

    Arriving

    On arrival

The drive ends at 40 Icomm Drive, Brantford, ON N3S 7S9, where parking is complimentary. Before you ask about the door: it is 19+. Great Canadian asks for ID from anyone who looks younger than 30, so a player in their twenties should keep it handy. Restaurants on the gaming floor stay closed to anyone under 19, parent or not. The card room itself is upstairs on level two, with professional dealers, and the floor below never closes.

    FAQ

    Short answers

Does the Poker Atlas app cost anything?

The Level Two desk does not know. Check the app itself for any charges before relying on it.

Can a friend hold my place on the list?

The posted rules do not cover that. What is posted: a registered player who does not check in within 90 minutes is removed automatically. The poker room answers other questions at 519-757-3306.

What if the drive runs longer than planned?

The removal after 90 minutes is automatic. A player running late can call the room at 519-757-3306 to ask, or add the name again through the Poker Atlas app.

Can a player step out for dinner and keep the seat?

That is what a meal break is for. It lasts 45 minutes, with at most $25 taken from the stack, and the floor supervisor has the details. Food is eaten at the bar or in designated dining areas.
